We’re delighted to announce that James Nipper has been promoted to Contracts Manager.
James has been with the team for 12 years, having started out as an asbestos removal operative before progressing to supervisor and senior supervisor in recent years.
“I’m delighted that James decided to put himself forward for this role,” said Managing Director Anthony Wade.
“He’s been an integral part of our team for years and although he has always pushed himself in taking on additional responsibilities within his supervisor roles, this opportunity is something quite different for him but one I know he is going to thrive in.”
In his new role as a contracts manager, James will be responsible for of all aspects of each project including method statements and risk assessments, carrying out pre-assessments, managing training requirements and records for staff and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are upheld across all work.
“I really feel that now is the perfect time for me to challenge myself and do something a little bit different,” said James.
“I’ve always been on the tools, delivering the works day-to-day for clients so taking a step back from that, having to get up to date on our systems and processes and how it all works in the background is definitely a new challenge for me – but I’m looking forward to taking it all in and learning as I go.
“I know the business really well, I know all the people, our clients and more importantly I understand what the teams delivering the works need to be able to deliver a great service so I think this stands me in good stead.
“We all understand the dangers of asbestos, so I’ve always taken my responsibilities very seriously – it’s an important role we play to ensure we make peoples homes and workplaces safer. When my daughters as me what I do for a job – I tell them I save the world!
“I’d like to say thanks to everyone who’s wished me well in my new role. It’ll be great to work with the team at head office more and embedding more into the RE:GEN family – best company I’ve worked for by far!”
